INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM AND POLICY FORUM IN DUSIT THANI BANGKOK HOTEL, THAILAND

 

The symposium was held in Bangkok-Thailand in August, 28th to 30th 2017. The theme for the symposium, “Cracking the code: Girl’s Education in Stem.” It brought over 250 delegates from all over the world who included; Ministry of Education and other government officials, education practitioners and educators, researchers and experts, bilateral, multilateral and development partners, representatives of intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, and private sector representatives. The overall aim of the international symposium and policy forum was to make the case for strengthening girls’ education in STEM education and female representation in STEM careers, and decision making.

It was organized by UNESCO with financial support from CJ Group through the UNESCO Malala Fund for Girls’ Right to Education, the Government of Japan, All Nippon Airways (ANA), HNA Group and Hainan Cihang Foundation.
